How is a prescribed peptide different from one sold online?

A prescribed preparation is dispensed by a licensed pharmacy against a prescription written by a licensed provider, for a named patient, after an evaluation. Material sold online without a prescription is not dispensed under that framework, is not intended for administration to people, and carries no assurance about identity, purity or sterility. The distinction is regulatory and it is substantive.
