Peptide Therapy
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up proteins, but in much shorter sequences. Many hormones the body makes are peptides. In a clinical setting, a small number of peptide medications hold FDA approval for specific indications; many other peptides discussed publicly do not, and are the subject of ongoing research rather than established therapy.
